THANK YOU AGAIN for you support, your participation, and your brotherhood!
"NEWS" and UPDATES (intended especially for alumni):
Major House Improvement Projects:
Thanks to brothers Lance Harris (#711, Class of 1982) and Jeff Marley (#871, Class of 1986) and others, some major repairs and improvements are underway at the chapter house. We are completely rebuilding the 3rd floor south toilet and shower, and have installed a mammoth steel beam in the ceiling of the kitchen to provide additional structural support for the various loads above it. We also are rebuilding and replacing the shower pan on the 2nd floor south, and plan to work on both North end rooms this summer.
Among other things, Lance donated his architectural expertise, and Jeff's company donated the beam and provided the labor to get it installed. Jeff also provided some of the subcontractors that he knows through his business, and spent significant hours meeting with the contractors at the SPE lodge.
Please contact Lance and Jeff and thank them for their work on this project. Here's their business contact information:

Fundraising for Rush and House Improvements:
The current active members of Sigma Phi Epsilon OK Beta realize that our alumni continue to play a crucial role in the success of the fraternity. Not only are you responsible for making SigEp and our chapter the extraordinary organizations that they are today, every undergraduate and alumni member of this fraternity contributes to further our excellence, on both a campus and national-wide level.
For us to maintain this excellence in which we appropriately take so much pride, we must continue to bring in quality people through rush. As part of that effort, we need to maintain and improve the condition of our chapter house. We want to make sure that our physical house is one in which we can take as much pride as we do in our members and organization. As you know, these efforts sometimes require funds that are beyond the scope of regular budgeting from active membership dues
Accordingly, and as many of you already know, we are in the middle of two major fundraising campaigns: (1) the 1946 campaign (in honor of Oklahoma Beta's founding date) and (2) the Brick campaign. Both of these are focused on raising money to make improvements in the house, so that we can all (alumni and undergraduates and our families and friends) continue not only to enjoy the times we spend in the house, but also ensure that we maximize our collective opportunities to properly attract and impress potential new members (rushees) in the years to come. These improvements include, among other things, renovation of bathrooms and improving the Internet connection within the house. Both of those things can be critical at times, as you all know! If you want to learn more about our other plans and house improvement efforts, please contact our current chapter president (linked at left).
The 1946 campaign asks the Alumni for $19.46 to go towards these renovation efforts. The Brick campaign gives every member, alumni as well as active members, the opportunity to show their pride in the house in the form of a permanent plaque/brick commemorating your financial contribution. Each contributor will have their name and message of choice engraved into a brick which will be placed on the wall of the house's grand staircase or as part of a future flagpole feature to be installed on the lawn outside the house. This provides both an opportunity for each of us to have a permanent and visible record of your contribution within our very own chapter house, and also for us to proudly display the far-reaching network that is our brotherhood. If you have not already done so, or feel that you would like to further assist us with these efforts, please contact our current chapter president or any other active member.
